Learn a new language through music

One of the great ways to learn a new language is through music.
A students this week mentioned a slide show that a friend had forwarded to her by e-mail and that had also been sent to me.
 
This powerpoint slide show is of pictures of the very famous painter Vincent Van Gogh and is set to an equally famous and beautiful piece of music called

‘Starry, Starry night’ by Don McLean.
 
The great thing about this slide show is as the lyrics are sung they appear on the screen with the pictures so that student can listen and see the words at the same time.

It really helps with their listening skills and at the same time increases their vocabulary.When they feel more confident they can even sing along!
